Specialised Disability Accommodation
Finding the right home can make a major difference to comfort, safety, independence, and the way daily supports are delivered. At 1 Circle of Care, our Specialised Disability Accommodation service is designed to help participants explore housing options that better match their disability-related support needs, daily routines, and long-term goals.
Whether you are planning for a move, looking for a more accessible living environment, or trying to understand how SDA fits into your broader NDIS support journey, we provide guidance that is respectful, practical, and centred around you.
What Is Specialised Disability Accommodation?
Specialised Disability Accommodation (SDA) is housing designed for participants with very high support needs or extreme functional impairment. These homes include accessibility features that help improve safety, independence, and daily living.
SDA is separate from daily support services such as personal care or Supported Independent Living (SIL), although those supports may work alongside SDA.
SDA may help with:
- Improved accessibility and safety
- Greater independence at home
- Better support delivery
- More suitable long-term housing
- Increased comfort and stability in daily life
How We Support Participants
Our SDA support focuses on helping participants and families better understand housing options and navigate accommodation decisions with confidence.
Support may include:
- Understanding SDA options and pathways
- Discussing living goals and preferences
- Exploring suitable accommodation options
- Support during accommodation transitions
- Planning for daily living in a new environment
- Housing-related coordination and guidance
- Family and carer communication support
- Building confidence in new living arrangements

- Focused on safety, comfort, and independence
- Practical and supportive throughout the process
- Clear and easy to understand

Our goal is to help participants feel more informed, supported, and confident about their living arrangements.
